E-Class (Executivklasse – business class) appeared in 1993 in the renaming of the entire model range Mercedes-Benz. It entered cars in the 124th body belonging to the class E of the European classification. However, with the title is unlikely to be linked as well as the S-Class W140, for example, refers to the F class. Himself the 124th body replaced the W123 sedans and versatile S123 in 1984.
