At the upcoming tuning show in Tokyo, Honda Company promises to provide some interesting models. One of them will be “charged” hechtbek Honda CR-Z, known as TS-1X concept.

No details about it is not yet known, but the available photos can be seen that TS-1X will receive a modified front end, extended side skirts, rear wing on the roof and painted in black matt body.

In addition, there is promise to show tuning Sports Modulo NSX coupe and a racing HSV-010 GT, which is located under the hood of 3,4-liter V8, an outstanding 500 hp

Recall that at the Detroit auto show held in the Japanese showed a prototype of a new Honda Civic, which soon would come to replace the current model.

Acura, that upscale performance label derived from Honda, promotes a line of coupes and sedans skewed to the sporty end of action and sized from small to spacious.

Recently, though, Acura added to its mix of products a new label which differs radically from all other models.

Like the others, the new Acura provides plush comforts in a refined passenger cabin skewed toward the luxury side of the market.

Also like other Acuras, this one stocks a sophisticated set of automotive hardware which enables it to move down a pavement path with explicit actions.

Unlike any previous Acura, however, the new model doesn’t need asphalt or concrete beneath its nubby tires to show its stuff. In fact, some of its most impressive feats occur when treading on dirt — or mud or sand or even rock. Read the rest of this entry »

The copy of the CR-Z featured on the Honda stand at the Tokyo Motor Show (public days from October 24 to November 4) is still at the prototype stage, but it is very close to the final model to be marketed the next year. Compared to the previous concept car of 2007, this version close to the production underwent some minor aesthetic interior and received a more realistic and less futuristic.

This sport is a small green four-seater coupe, powered by the IMA hybrid technology from Honda. The program, therefore, a hybrid gas-electric heating block with 1.5-liter, but the performances have not been sent.

Honda said it will cut standard manual transmission or six reports, a new feature on a hybrid car.

The Honda CR-Z will be released in February 2010 in Japan, and the second half of the year in the United States and Europe. Honda’s goal to sell 500,000 hybrids a year worldwide from 2011.

In this staid and cultured part of the country, every bend in the road seems to offer a new museum, art gallery or music center. This is the home of quiet, understated elegance, with well-sculpted yards, simple but refined homes, and understated but chic vehicles. The Hyundai XG-350 fit right in.

While being picked up at a Midwest airport, it was interesting to watch the reactions of other passengers as the top Hyundai rounded the corner. Several folks checked out the badges and their surprise was evident. “Is that a Hyundai?” one asked, ?It looks like a small Lincoln.? High praise for a car brand that once was featured in late night monologues.

The XG is quite stylish, especially the rear ? view. The curve of the rear fenders and prominent trunk lid gives the XG-300 a retro? look. The view from the front is also inspiring and very smooth with a luxury hinting waterfall grille. Read the rest of this entry »

We’re grasping for grab handles and straining the safety belt, trying to keep our torso planted firmly in the driver’s bucket as Honda’s new mid-size sport-utility wagon — Pilot — bumps and grinds, scampers and scoots over one formidable obstacle after another on a demanding off-road course carved into rich Carolina soil on outback reaches of the vast Biltmore Estate in Asheville.

There are steep grades to scale, deep trenches to cross, log-like telephone poles to roll over, boulders to bump and tire-sucking mud to wade.

The tall stance of Pilot — with a ground clearance of eight inches and the ability to ford water up to 19 inches deep — allows this wagon to trudge over a lot of lumpy ground far from the comfort of a paved road. Read the rest of this entry »

Honda Odyssey makes a minivan easy for the driver and riders.

BUCKHEAD, Ga. — It’s so easy: Steering Honda’s Odyssey minivan on a tight course through narrow lanes at a shopping mall off Peachtree Road in Atlanta’s glitzy Buckhead suburb, we’re hardly working.

There’s scant room for error on this car-crowded lot, slab-sided fenders and protruding chrome bumpers left and right but traffic moving at the pace of slugs on a sidewalk.
